Gigs Update
I've got some really varied UK gigs coming up this month in Nottingham, Lichfield and London. I'm really looking forward to performing with these outstanding artists and musicians. Here's the lowdown..
Saturday 20th June 2015
I'll be performing with Jane McDonald at the Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham. This is a rare theatre show for Jane this year given her upcoming role in the musical Cats. The song I co-wrote with her, 'I'll Be There' will be featured in the show. The track is also now on Spotify.
I've played the Royal Concert Hall several times and it's one of my favourite venues. Support from guitarist Pat Coldrick. Tickets here.
Friday 26th June 2015
A nice local gig for me as part of Lichfield's Jazz and Blues Festival at one of its newest pubs, The Angel Inn on Market St. The city will be buzzing with live music from great acts all weekend so it's great to part of it all. Check out the festival website for a full rundown. I'll be performing with Oz McGowan from The Jeeps on keys, along with Mark Hamilton on Sax; Mark is the son of famous sax legend Andy Hamilton. It's free entry (!) plus a beer festival (!!); should be a treat.
Sunday 28th June 2015
Marc Broussard hails from Carencro, Louisiana and is one of the finest singer songwriters currently working in the US. This will be his first headline show in the UK and his incredibly soulful voice is among the best anywhere - no exaggeration. His material covers anthemic pop/ rock, funky swampy blues and old school soul and I will be playing guitar as part of Marc's band; it is a great privilege. Check out Marc's website for more info.
Tickets here.
Hope to see you on the road....
